Choreographer Aloun Marchal and four dancers (Gilda Stillbäck, Sandra Abouav, Nelly Zagora, Kristina Hanses), was working on the performance ‘SonoR’ at Earthwise Residency in a collaboration with musician Girilal Baars.

SonoR is a rhythmical performance where the boundaries between a dance show and a concert are dissolved. SonoR is performed by four women with wireless microphones, creating live the soundscape and choreography – bodies bouncing, voices humming along with singing, breath and steps, interview and kabuki dancing. The sound focus reveals the inner melodies and driving forces of the performers, creating a space on stage where ancient women’s narratives meet contemporary ones.
